Liberty Blume targets slice of multi-billion pound UK infrastructure sector with latest acquisition
London, United Kingdom – June 16, 2026
Liberty Blume, an AI-enabled back-office solutions provider owned by Liberty Global, today announced the acquisition of land rights specialists, Connections Legal Management (CLM) – expanding its infrastructure services division beyond telecoms and into utilities, renewable energy and the wider construction sector.
The combination of Liberty Blume’s telecoms and AI-enabled technology expertise and CLM’s deep expertise in electricity and renewables, means Blume can better support firms, such as solar and wind developers, grid connection and infrastructure delivery partners. These sectors are set to be worth over 50% of the UK’s public and private infrastructure spending over the next ten years, responsible for approximately £35bn of spending a year*.
Customers will now benefit from an organisation that is able to cut through planning bureaucracy enabling faster delivery of infrastructure builds by seamlessly bringing together land, commercial and programme delivery expertise.
The agreement marks the first deal since the appointment of Ian Larkin as CEO and supports its plan to become a $1bn+ valued company by 2028, powered by AI technology. After launching in late 2024, Liberty Blume generated more than £100m revenue (1) in 2025.
CLM’s 22-strong team of specialists will all be retained and will continue to serve an impressive portfolio of over 90 clients, carrying out critical work on behalf of UK Power Distribution, JSM Group and GRIDSERVE, who will now all have access to the full suite of Liberty Blume technology services and expertise.
Ian Larkin, Chief Executive Officer, Liberty Blume, said: “The UK is set for a huge upgrade of its public and private infrastructure. This deal brings together the market leaders in telecoms, energy and water infrastructure services and ideally places Liberty Blume to support this rapid transformation of the UK.”
Laura Wilson, Founder and Director, Connections Legal Management, said: “Infrastructure services are seeing exponential growth, driven by critical demand and the momentum just keeps building. My incredible team has worked tirelessly to position us as a true market leader across the sectors we serve. At the same time, to unlock our next phase of growth, we needed the right partner alongside us. Joining Liberty Blume is an exciting step forward – it means we can now deliver a complete, end-to-end infrastructure services offering under one roof, while also bringing their broader capabilities to even more of our clients.”
