When we launched Liberty Blume last year, we set out with a clear vision: to build a forward-thinking business that delivers meaningful impact across our four focus areas. Today, I’m thrilled to share a major milestone on that journey – our first strategic acquisition.
We’ve acquired PHL Insurance Brokers Ltd., a specialist Lloyd’s of London brokerage with deep expertise in financial lines, property, and casualty insurance. This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for us, especially within our Financial Solutions business, which I lead up.
This acquisition is more than just a transaction – it’s a signal of our intent. PHL brings with it both wholesale and retail capabilities, giving us the ability to develop and deliver high-impact insurance products for both consumer and commercial markets. By combining Liberty Blume’s growth ambitions with PHL’s proven expertise in this space, we’re setting ourselves up to accelerate innovation and broaden the solutions we provide to clients.
Future growth strategy
M&A is a critical pillar of our growth strategy, alongside, of course, organic expansion. This deal is the first step in a wider roadmap of carefully targeted partnerships – opportunities that complement our existing services and strengthen our market reach. Our focus is not just on scale, but on building sustainable capabilities and delivering long-term value to our customers and partners.
