Fundraising in Motion: Liberty Blume Employees Champion Children’s Education with Street Child
Our teams at Liberty Blume have taken part in global fundraising initiatives with Street Child, an international charity dedicated to ensuring children are safe, in school, and learning.
Last week, we joined the Liberty Global delegation at Street Child’s annual flagship fundraiser, The Big Ride, a two-day event that saw over 600 participants cycle, hike, run and walk across Wicklow, Ireland.
This year’s fundraiser, co-hosted by Virgin Media Ireland and Infosys, raised €2 million, enough to send 17,500 children to school.
In May, three of our team members represented the company in Street Child’s 2025 Sierra Leone Marathon and Cycle Challenge — one of the country’s biggest annual sporting events. The event brought together participants from across the world to raise money and awareness for children’s education.
The Liberty Blume team joined forces with Liberty Global employees participating in the Sierra Leone challenge, raising a total of more than £16,000. The funds will help address a critical challenge in Sierra Leone, where 36% of children never complete primary school.
We’re proud to partner with Street Child to help advance its mission of keeping children safe, in school and learning. Working alongside a network of local partners, Street Child has supported over one million children into education across more than 25 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
A huge shoutout to all who took part — a fantastic reminder of what can be achieved when we come together for a cause that matters.
